Further to your advice " Current figures show a surge in membership over the last couple of months.  The facts are that since 1995 our membership has increased each year mainly as a result of the popularity of the IOM Class.
Our membership has topped 1000 for the first time which suggests that ARYA is far from falling over."

Then what is the age demographic of the membership and what is the geographic distribution of the membership so we can see the future of this sport.

Ken

I am still waiting for the details as requested 21-2-10

If it makes it easier

Break the members number for each age group

age

12 to 18 years
19 to 35 yrs
36 to 50 yrs
51 to 65 yrs
66 yrs and over

geographic distribution per age group by state.

also what would be intresting to see the numbers per class of boat per state.

Don't rock the Boat....  Grin Grin Grin

Might delay further, the Issue of the Recent AGM Minutes... Waiting on baited breath for this important document on the future direction of the sport in Australia..

With the membership > 1000 and the IOM Class having less than 500 boats registered..

There are some questions that simply should not be answered..

My feeling is that other evolving classes are contributing as much to ARYA as the IOM yet they receive little if any support at the State Level..

Owning Multiple Classes (IOM & MM), they would perhaps inflate the IOM fiigures rather than recognise my other class equally..

I woulld ask that the Age Breakup & perhaps State Location would also be very helpful in future marketing, especially for those of us that do a lot of PR grunt work work in support of Graeme T's efforts..

For mine I do appreciate GT's efforts & understand the vast difficulties of the position he holds. With knowledge & Information he could have a vast array of helpers along the way...
