Thanks Phil, have just finished working out the ballast weight to WLL of the 12 boats up here and the way they perform in the various breezes up here and it appears that a ballast of 3.8-4kg and WLL of 1.23-1.25 appear to out perform short and light and heavy and long in most variable conditions that are around this time of year, the light boats are very good in a constant 5-10k but are a problem in light flukey breezes and then there is "that" boat that carries on no matter what the breeze.
