13 Soling skippers fronted up for the running of the interclub regatta held on the Central Coast Club waters at Terrigal on Sunday the 11/7/2010 it was a typical winters day when I should have launched the real boat and gone to sea in search of some nice snapper however this was not the case.

The day started in extra light conditions and did not improve in fact it only got worse the day consisted of scratch racing in the morning and after lunch handicaps were awarded to all skippers worked out from the scratch racing for an afternoon of handicap racing.

Greg Young sailed constantly throughout the day in the light conditions with Sid Thomas and IanTrethewy
also handling the conditions well, the the day was supported with skippers comming all the way from Lake Tabourie on the south coast as well as members from the Norwest club.

John O'sullivan is a good supporter of the Soling regattas and in this case  had a good days racing with a place amongst the pot hunters with Peter Maddison from the Tabourie club not far behind in 4th position  a couple of new Soling skippers also joined in in their 1st regatta Andrew Sands all the way from Moss Vale with his new boat came in a creditable 6th also a first time and new member of the CC club was Julian with his new boat.

The next Soling interclub I believe is to be sailed at Lake Tabourie later in the year it would be great to see as many as possible as this is a great weekend away Im sure if you have not attended there you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for that report P.P4, is it true that a few Soling skippers were caught high and dry using the new extended keel when someone pulled the plug out up there.

Some body did pull the plug that's for sure however,I don't know of any extended keels but an outboard motor would have been a big help.
